5 most anti Cena crowds in WWE universe
John Cena is one of the most famous
wrestlers of WWE. He is the WWE US Champion and top wrestler of WWE. He started
his career in 1999 and now a days he is at the peak of his career. People know
him around the world but still there are many people who hate him. People has
their own reason to dislike him. But it can be embracing for such a celebrity
to find anti crowd around him especially when he is in the ring to fight. Here is the brief description of such moments
when Cena faced anti Cena crowds
2006 Toronto Unforgiven:
“Unforgiven (2006)” pay per view event was
held by WWE in Toronto. This time it was the matter of reputation and career
for Cena. He had to fight against Edge and if he lost, he would have
transferred to SmackDown brand. Situation was tenser as Toronto is the home
town of Edge and crowd was fully in his favour. They showed very cold welcome
and fully favoured their home town hero. But Cena focused on fight and ignored
the crowd response. He fought well and won. It was a good answer to crowd for
their disliking and cold response.
2006 New York ECW:
In Extreme championship Wrestling (ECW)
2006, John Cena fought against Rob Van Dam. Crowd of New York was very angry on
Cena. They were holding signs saying that if Cena won they will riot. They were
abusing him live on TV and broadcasters had to censor the wordings. Organizers
were worried about the safety of Cena. There was lot of heat in the air. Cena
fought and lost the fight, may be due to pressure of crowd.
2011 Chicago Money in the Bank:
John Cena had to defend his WWE
Championship in 2011 Money in the Bank. He had a fight with CM Punk. Crowd was
not much in favour of Cena. CM punk was really famous those days due to his
pipe bomb win against whole WWE universe and Chicago is the home town of CM
Punk. So Cena did not find much support from crowd. People were shouting
against him. At the end,he lost the fight.
2012 Boston Crowd:
Boston is the home town of Cena and when
you return to your home, you expect respect and honour. But this was not the
case with Cena. Cena’s 2012 visit to Boston wasn’t much pleasant for him.
Wherever he appeared in Boston, people booed and hooted. But in media, Cena said that he enjoyed the
Boston crowd and it excited him.
2012 Miami WrestleMania XXVIII:
This time it was WrestleMania XXVIII, where
Cena faced the anger and hate of crowd.
It was a bout between The Rock and John Cena. People of Miami were
really against Cena and favouring The Rock. They showed their disliking with
loud shouts and play cards. And Rock amazed the crowds by pinning down Cena.
